Campaign 2010: The Year of the Big Story
Join a global campaign to help people use the power of story to change the world. This campaign is designed to bring the idea of “bigger storytelling” into mainstream awareness. Anybody who’s trying to inspire, persuade, or influence change needs to understand the role of bigger storytelling. Align yourself with this campaign, and you will undoubtedly benefit, along with the people you serve.
Lets unite people around the question: “What’s one story you can change in 2010?” To do that, I’m giving away a free PDF download of my latest book, Believe Me: A Storytelling Manifesto for Change-Makers and Innovators. But I’m also inviting people into a broader conversation, through blogging, podcasting, tweeting, and more. I’m in the process of building an online community/content portal that will gather countless voices around the world around the Year of the Big Story.
Simple starting points:
- You can give away my book to your readers, friends, constituents
- You can write a blog post/article on how storytelling connects to your work
- I can interview you for our respestive lists, you can interview me
- I can write a custom article linking your work/mission/cause to storytelling
- I can guest post on your blog, you can guest post on mine, etc…
The possibilities are limitless.
Let’s talk and craft a simple collaboration that makes sense all around. There’s no cost involved to you. I have just a couple requirements – (1) you have some established constituency or email list of your own, and (2) you approach me in a generative and mutually supportive spirit.
My vision is to create a global platform of voices, and to show the world how storytelling is connected to everything. I think whatever we do together can make a positive impact on your readers’ lives and everyone who joins the discussion.
