The New About Me: Who Taught You How To Write Your Bio?
Everybody has Credentials. What you need to share is more Character. Forget the buzzword sleaze around personal branding, we’re going to discuss how to bring your unique personality to the surface through more storytelling. Yes, we all have a bigger and epic story to tell. And it’s the story everybody’s waiting to hear.
When: Tuesday, May 24
Time: 3:45PM to 4:45PM
Where: Jacob Javits Center 1A15
What is the BlogWorld Expo?
BlogWorld features the world’s largest and most comprehensive new media and social media conference. This is the one event where you can meet, learn and collaborate with thousands of new media content creators who are just as passionate as you. You’ll also get the chance to network with potential sponsors, from small business owners to Fortune 500 execs, who are looking to meet with content creators like. Register for Blog World here. Save 20% on your registration fees using the code BWSAVE20.
What is The New About Me?
A new way of thinking and talking about yourself. It begins by telling a story in service to your audience, as opposed to just your own ego validation. It’s a hard thing to distinguish sometimes. The New About Me will teach you how to discern and align your story for greatest resonance and relevance. It’s because our curriculum is built on years of study and the holy-grail power of storytelling: tell a story that people can identify with as their own – and the need to persuade, convince, or sell them on anything disappears. Imagine being able to communicate your story in a way that just connects with people, period. Anybody can learn how to apply this to their bio and their business. Just imagine the difference it could make for you? Learn more.

Tuesday, March 30 was the premiere episode of The New Storytellers! A new dialogue series hosted by me, Michael Margolis.
The Topic: The Future of Storytelling and Society

What is this “bigger notion” of storytelling about?
When do you know that a story needs to shift?
How do you find and frame a bigger story?

A New Vision for Storytelling Our definitions of identity and work are changing. Everybody has a story to tell. And expects the change to tell it. The global meme of “story” is shifting the boundaries of business and culture. In a low trust world, we are learning how to re-story reality for ourselves.
The New Language of Business In today’s episode I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the evolution of storytelling, and its implications on the process of change-making, innovation, and cultural renewal. And sharing some reflections on my own storied path and continued learnings.
Sign-Up for Future Live Shows Each episode is recorded live every other Tuesday at 1pm EST/10am PST and invites audience participation. Register for the dial-in info. You’ll then receive announcements about future guests, and free access to podcast versions of every episode.
Next show is Tuesday, April 13, at 1pm EST/10am PST with guest Grant McCracken, business anthropologist and author, Chief Culture Officer. Intrigued?
