Elaine has been a writer and storyteller since she was a tyke in fifth grade, interviewing anyone who was willing, and passing around a handmade newsletter to her classmates. Back then, she was obsessed with what made people tick—and today, not much has changed.
Over the years, Elaine has interviewed 1000+ entrepreneurs, leaders, philanthropists and business owners—helping them tell their story, market their message, and move their mission forward. She spent 15 years working in the philanthropy and nonprofit fields, authoring seven books and teaching foundations, families and next-gen donors how to give away their money better. With a Masters in Professional Writing, she’s worked with everyone from national associations to local start-ups, high net worth individuals to shamanic healers, Tibetan monks to movie stars. Here at Get Storied, she’s helping to create compelling online content and inspire the editorial process.
A master synchronizer and a lover of legacies, Elaine is committed to helping others tell their most important story—the one that leads them back to themselves. These days, when she’s taking a break from writing, you can find her sweating up a storm in a yoga class, whipping up colorful meals that her husband says are too healthy, or whale watching (yep, you read that right) with her two-year old daughter from their backyard in Half Moon Bay, California.
